Rodin “Falling Man”

I guess he has to be interpreted?
His falling is such wonder to all air
beneath him and around, a medium
catching him up, his back bent, contorted.

But how can I not wonder what it means,
this erection on the naked body
no mistake of my interpretation.
Each time I look at him I see new twists—
as if he’s shifting while I’m writing this.

The legend says Rodin intended him
to grace “The Gates of Hell,” then took him out.
It does not interpret the priapic.
